Motivation and Goals of this position
We are working on new bioprocess strategies for improved protein production using microbial hosts. Aiming for fast and effective bioprocess development as well as advanced process control, experimental characterization is combined with computer-aided methods. Are you interested to do research in the field of microbial fermentation technology? We are looking forward to hearing from you!
- You are studying biotechnology, biochemistry, process engineering or a similar subject.
- Previous experience with microbial laboratory work is favorable.
- Most important is your motivation to learn something new!
You will perform bioreactor cultivations with a Corynebacterium glutamicum strain producing a recombinant protein. Thereby, you can get to know a fully equipped bioreactor setup, various analytical methods (e.g. HPLC, enzyme assay robot, automated electrophoresis) and a real-time process control system in our new Process Analytical Technologies Lab. You will learn how to plan, perform and analyze bioreactor processes at lab-scale.
