Your tasks
- Support and supervise junior co workers in finding their way around the lab and make sure things are running the way they should
- Perform and analyze small scale experiments
- Supervise, organize and document experiments
- Prepare media, refill/order supplies and reagents
- Enforce lab safety rules
Your profile
- Technical education (e.g., Rosensteingasse) or BSc in biotechnology, biochemistry or related field (MSc is also fine –however, bear in mind that this is not a research position)
- Good organizational skills and a reliable work style
- Experience and know-how in any of the areas would be a plus but are not a prerequisite:
- Working in a biotechnology lab
- Experience with HPLC as well as wet lab analytics
- Cultivation of microorganisms (and handling of fermenters)
- Additionally, you should enjoy working in an international and interdisciplinary environment.
Other (important) things you may want to know
- Salary: commensurate to education and experience, at least €2,147.30/m (14x/year) b. tax
- Start: position is available immediately (applications will be accepted until position is filled)
- Duration: position is initially fixed for 2 years (with the possibility of extension)
